Nordiqus continues its expansion within educational infrastructure by acquiring a school project in Enköping, with Jensen Education as the operator under a 15-year lease agreement from Athena Fastigheter. The transaction is structured as a forward commitment deal, with closing scheduled upon the school’s opening in August 2027.
Upon completion, the new school will comprise approximately 5,500 square meters of lettable area, including a grade F–9 school and a sports hall. The project is being developed with high requirements for functionality, energy efficiency, and learning environments, and will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver, ensuring long-term quality and sustainability.
“We’re very pleased to establish a new collaboration with Jensen Education and Athena Fastigheter, and to acquire a high-quality educational asset in an attractive location within a new municipality for us. Enköping is a strong regional city with solid projected population growth, and we are proud to contribute to the municipality’s offering of modern and attractive educational facilities,” says Jenny Rehn, CEO of Nordiqus.
The asset is located in a strong micro-location within Storskogen, a new development area connecting the established residential neighborhood of Bredsand with central Enköping. In total, plans for Storskogen include 1,000 new homes by 2032, along with two preschools and Jensen Education’s new elementary school accommodating approximately 600 students.
“A key parameter for us when selecting a collaboration partner was finding an owner committed to long-term and sustainable ownership. We have invested significant effort in creating and designing a school that is both functional and architecturally appealing, and we are confident that Nordiqus will manage the school in the best way possible” says Dorotea Stellmach, CEO of Athena Fastigheter.
